Dear Parents,
We are so happy to see the smiles on your children's faces after the weekend! The children were happy to come back to school and they are adjusting to classroom routines beautifully!
The week is off to a great start! We are working on identifying sounds, particularly the first sound of our Hebrew name. We played a game using our picture to help us learn and say this sound.
In order to become more comfortable speaking Hebrew, each child practiced saying the sentence, "Shalom kitah aleph. Hashem sheli (Hebrew name). Ani bakitah" (Hello first grade, my name is _____. I am in class). Morah Tali also read a story in Hebrew and incorporated puppets in order to allow for more practice.
The children also began working in their Shana Tova workbooks. We sang a song called "Shana Tova" and pointed out the words "Rosh Hashana" and "Shana Tova" on the page.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Back to School Night tonight!
See you soon!
Morah Tali
