We have had such a fun week learning about and getting ready for Rosh Hashana!
The children learned about the various symbols of Rosh Hashana (e.g. pomegranate, fish head) and how to say and recognize them in Hebrew.
We are proud authors! Yesterday, the children read the story "Shana Tova." Then, each child wrote and illustrated their own version of the story. Please enjoy reading it with them over Chag!
Today Rav Eli took the children to the river (located behind the school) to do tashlich. He explained that the water represents cleanliness and renewal, and when we do tashlich, we are symbolically casting away our misdeeds and starting fresh for the new yer.
We hope that you like the beautiful Rosh Hashana cards created by your children!
Shana Tova!
