Today the First Grade students started to learn about States of Matter in science. Morah Jean gave each child the challenge of trying to melt an ice cube. The children used strategies such as sitting on the ice cubes, breathing on them, putting them in their shirts. After the ice cubes melted Morah Jean discussed with the children how the solid changed to a liquid through melting.
Following the ice challenge, two children were given the challenge of trying to put on a frozen t-shirt!
