Today the children in 1C began learning about the letter ק. We practiced blending the sound of the letter ק with the vowels that we already know and recognizing these sounds on a fun worksheet.
Tomorrow we will read a story about a class of children that go to the zoo to record (להקליט) the different sounds that the animals make. In order to prepare for the story, the children learned the names of the various animals in Hebrew. Afterwards, they worked in groups to make different animals out of play dough for our very own first grade zoo, in conjunction with the other classes!
Everyone had a blast learning and creating!
