Author's Day

The children were so excited to celebrate Author's Day today. They met with Johanna Hurwitz and were intrigued to hear about how she came up with the ideas for many of her stories. She even showed them the first book she ever wrote when she was in elementary school.

The children then had the opportunity to share their class fairytale with the children in Second Grade and the Second Graders shared their animal books.

​Today the children brought home three stories which they have written this year. They are very proud of the books they have published. I hope you enjoy sharing their work with them.
