Today we began our study of the letter ט, tet. We learned different words that begin with the letter ט. We also learned the vowel sound segol, ֶ which says "eh."
We played a fun matching game with the words that we learned.
The children realized that there are many English and Hebrew words that sound the same. They were thrilled to share their knowledge that the Hebrew word for television (טלויזיה-televisia) is very similar to the English word! They were also excited to discover that the Hebrew word for toast (טוסט) is just like the English word! Please ask your child if they know any other words that are similar in English and Hebrew!
