Today we celebrated the end of our unit on the letter ל (lamed) by baking חלה (Challah-one of our lamed words)!
Morah Tali demonstrated the mitzvah of Hafrashat Challah (seperating challah) and we learned about the significance of this mitzvah and how it was observed during the time of the Beit Hamikdash.
We watched a cute instructional video to get some challah-braiding tips and then we got to work! We had a great time forming our dough into flowers, hearts,and other fun shapes! What a delicious way to learn and have fun!
