What a fun-filled Erev Shavuot day we have had!
The day began with Bet Sefer L'Musika, featuring the songs of Israeli singer-songwriter Uzi Chitman. The children in Kittah Alef performed "Tamid Nishar Ani," a song about feelings. They did such a great job and were absolutely adorable!
Afterwards, the entire school was treated to a visit from an ice cream truck! The students enjoyed a delicious dairy soft ice cream snack in honor of Shavuot.
Later, Kittah Alef had the opportunity to experience the practice of bikkurim. They reenacted the tradition of bringing first fruit to the Bet Hamikdash, just like the Jewish People did on Shavuot in ancient times! The children enjoyed a yummy fruit salad made out of their "bikkurim!" Thank you to everyone who sent in fruit.
